Shapeshifter - finally reconnected · 22 July 2006

When I moved in with Vincent and his family, I had to pack up a lot of stuff and leave it at my parents. There was just not enough room for me to bring all of my books and clothing, and trinkets.

One of the hardest decisions to make was whether or not to pack up my Shapeshifter tarot deck. At the time, I decided that since I never used the deck to do actual readings (I used it to meditate on), that perhaps I should pack it up. About 4 months after moving, I missed it more than anything.

Tonight I finally found the box it was in and pulled it out.

The card I pulled out tonight was “Seeker of Water” (11/Page of cups).

My initial feeling upon looking at the card is a parting of the elements – fish facing downwards, main figures facing upwards. The parting, however, isn’t bitter – but it is a little melancholy. There is a swirling or leaves and rippling of water – to me, this suggests life.

In the book that came with the deck, it tells me that the key words for this card are: “Emotional mastery, communication, unconditional love”.

I think that tonight before I go to sleep, I will meditate on my interpretation and work out where it differs from, and where it connects with, the books interpretation.
